It is with great pleasure that I announce Nancy Edgeman, Assistant Branch Manager at the Trion Branch, as Employee of the Quarter. Nancy has shown unwavering determinations in marketing.  She has shown a critical understanding of the importance to provide efficient completion of the detailed paperwork. Nancy continues to fulfill her duties as Assistant Branch Manager.  She is quick to step in to help in any situation and has provided excellent leadership to the Head Teller and Assistant Head Teller.  Due to Nancy’s strong determination and superior marketing ability, her team in the branch continues to market for every possible loan opportunity.

Employee of the Year 

 

Dawn daily surpasses the expectations of her position as Member Service Representative for the Trion Branch. The duties of the Member Service position vary from member to member; Dawn has subsequently set the standard for her position. A quandary of emails, telephone calls and member visits occur within very short periods of time and she performs the required actions for each situation without any hang-ups.
 
Dawn is quick to be of assistance with any other item that may arise within the Trion Branch or one of our other locations. During September and October Dawn was the major player in our branch for the changeover to direct deposit of Mt.Vernon Mills. During the month of September the Trion Branch obtained a total of 102 new members and in October 108 new members were obtained; she readily accepted this challenge and facilitated the changeover without any setbacks.  She has also accepted the responsibility of training new staff during 2007 – the Trion Branch had a total of 4 Member Service Reps in the past year that have moved on to other endeavors – after each employee’s departure Dawn stepped in and accepted the work load that normally two people would perform; doing so with no complaints or negativity.
 

Even though she is a Trion Branch employee, daily Dawn allocates time to the other branches and performs a variety of functions for them, including but not limited to the following:

·        Daily completion of the ACH Report, for all branches
·        Daily completion of the Share Draft Report, for all branches
·        Assists with questions and transactions concerning IRA’s, for all branches
·        Processes all late returns for share drafts, for all branches
·        Assists with forgery claims, for all branches
·        Handles death claims, for all branches
·        Assists the accounting department with the Annual ACH Audit
·        Remains abreast of all BSA/OFAC changes and SDN searches, for all branches
 
With this much time devoted to other SFCU locations; one could consider the thought that her job performance would possibly be affected by the loss of time devoted to the aforementioned tasks, however she consistently performs well above expectations for her position. 
 
Dawn is the “go to” person for any questions pertaining to the position of Member Service. Due to her reliability and knowledge, she is the primary person attending membership drives and health fairs at select employee groups for the Trion Branch. She was a major player in the elimination of ATM cards in the Trion Branch; over 1,000 cards existed and were eradicated by the required deadline. In 2007 Dawn marketed for and obtained multiple large investments, in excess of $300,000.00 from two members alone – she is, in my opinion, the paradigm all SFCU employees should use when cross selling our products and services.
 
Dawn takes the responsibility upon herself to see to it that all of our members are attended to in a timely and professional manner. She attends orientation at Mt.Vernon Mills twice weekly and advises the new hires of the benefits they would obtain by having their accounts at SFCU – she possesses a plethora of knowledge concerning our products and services and is quick to help out employees in other SFCU locations when called upon. I admire her vivacious appetite to satisfy our membership. Dawn has superb relations with members and daily goes out of her way to meet their needs.

 

 

Southeast Federal Credit Union is lucky to have a person with the knowledge, dedication and attitude of Dawn on our team. She is quick to lend a hand and does not hesitate to accept any new tasks assigned to her. She has been unrelenting in her openness to new duties that she has assumed during times when the branch has been shorthanded.
